Terms of service

Last updated 13 October 2026

These are the terms on which we turn your manuscript into an audiobook. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who we are

audio-book.ai is run by G-SQUARE.AI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12096205). Our registered office is 7 Bell Yard, London, England, WC2A 2JR. You can write to us at hello@audio-book.ai.

2. What we do

You upload a manuscript. We narrate its opening as a free sample. If you like how it sounds, you pay once and we narrate the whole book and give you the audio files: one MP3, one file with chapters (M4B), and an MP3 for each chapter.

The narration is made by a computer-generated voice, not by a person. A synthetic voice can misread a name or an unusual word. We listen back to every passage automatically and show you the ones that didn't match your text, and you can have any passage read again with a note on how it should sound.

3. Your account

4. Your manuscript stays yours

You keep every right in your text. You give us permission to store it and work on it only as far as we need to make your sample and your audiobook: to read it, prepare it for narration, narrate it and check the result.

We don't use your manuscript or your audiobook to train AI models, we don't publish them, and we don't sell them. The privacy policy names the companies whose services we use to do the work.

You confirm that you wrote the text or have the right to have it made into an audiobook, and that it is lawful.

5. Your audiobook is yours

Once a book is paid for, the audio files we make from it are yours to use, publish and sell. We ask for nothing more than the price.

Some stores have their own rules about audiobooks narrated by a synthetic voice. Check a store's rules before you publish there: we can't promise that every store will take your audiobook.

6. Samples and tries are free, within limits

Each book gets a few free samples and a number of free tries of single passages. To keep that fair, an account can bring a limited number of books in a month without having one narrated in full; the app tells you when you reach that. We may refuse or remove accounts made to get around these limits.

7. Price and payment

8. If something is wrong, and refunds

If a passage is misread, tell us in the app or have it read again yourself: that costs nothing. If we can't finish your audiobook, you get your money back. The free sample is how you try us before you pay: once a book is paid for, we don't refund it because you have changed your mind. The refund policy says more.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.

9. What you mustn't do

10. Keeping and deleting your books

Your books stay in your account until you delete them. Deleting a book removes its manuscript, its samples and its audio from our systems; we keep the record of a payment, as the law requires. Download your finished audiobook and keep your own copy: we are not an archive.

We may remove a book, or close an account, that breaks these terms. If we close an account for another reason, we give you time to download your audiobooks first.

11. Changes to the service

We keep improving the service, and may change how it works or what it costs. A book you have already paid for is finished on the terms and at the price you paid. If we ever stop the service, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before, so that you can download your audiobooks.

12. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so: that includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, and your legal rights as a consumer.

We are not responsible for losses that aren't foreseeable, or for business losses such as lost sales or profit. If you use the service for a business, our total liability to you for a book is limited to the price you paid for it.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we put the new date at the top, and if the change matters to you we tell you by email before it takes effect.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country and can bring a claim in its courts.
